2. How We Use Your Information

3. Information Shared With Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. We share information only as follows:

Licensed bondsmen on our platform

When you trigger a bail alert, your name, phone number, GPS location or zip code, date of birth, and emergency contact information are shared with the bondsman(s) assigned to respond to your alert.

Emergency contacts of defendants

When a defendant adds you as an emergency contact in the YouGotBail app, you may receive a one-time informational SMS notifying you that you have been added and explaining how the alert system works. If the defendant subsequently triggers a bail alert, you will receive an SMS notification containing the defendant's bondsman's name and contact information, along with fraud protection instructions. Emergency contacts are identified by the defendant and we rely on the defendant's representation that they have authorization to provide your contact information.

Service providers

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TapCorp, our users, or the public.

Business transfers

If TapCorp is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, emergency contacts, and push notification tokens are permanently deleted from our systems.

Bail event records (alert history, GPS coordinates, timestamps, and case notes) may be retained after account deletion for legal compliance and operational purposes. This data is retained in de-identified or aggregate form where possible.

Payment records are retained as required by financial regulations and Stripe's data retention policies.

5. Location Data

The defendant application requests access to your device's precise GPS location. This location data is used exclusively to route your bail alert to the nearest available licensed bondsman. Location is only transmitted at the moment you trigger an alert — we do not track your location continuously or in the background.

If GPS access is unavailable or denied, we use the home address on file in your profile as a fallback location. You can update your address at any time in your profile settings.

You may revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings. Note that revoking location access will reduce the accuracy of alert routing.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@tapcorpllc.com and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any CCPA rights, contact us at privacy@tapcorpllc.com.

9. SMS / Text Messaging

TapCorp LLC operates two distinct SMS notification programs under the YouGotBail platform. Each program is described separately below.

Program 1 — YouGotBail SMS Alerts

Operated by: TapCorp LLC

This program delivers transactional SMS messages to registered defendants and bondsmen:

Opt-In: Users provide explicit consent via a separate, optional, unchecked SMS consent checkbox presented during account registration in the YouGotBail app. Consent is not required to use the platform. A reference of this opt-in flow is available at tapcorpllc.com/sms-opt-in.

Message frequency: Varies based on bail alert activity in your account or subscribed territory.

Message & Data Rates May Apply.

No mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.

Program 2 — YouGotBail Emergency Contact Notifications

Operated by: TapCorp LLC

This program delivers one-time public safety notifications to individuals who have been listed as an emergency contact by a registered defendant. Recipients are not required to be registered YouGotBail users.

Opt-In: Emergency contacts are identified by a registered defendant during app onboarding. The defendant provides your name and phone number. Each message you receive includes opt-out instructions.

Message frequency: Maximum of two (2) messages per defendant listing — one welcome notification and one bail alert notification if triggered. No further messages are sent.

Message & Data Rates May Apply.

Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@tapcorpllc.com.

If you believe you have received these messages in error, please contact us at privacy@tapcorpllc.com and we will remove your number from our system.

No mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.

10. Push Notifications

We use Firebase (Android) and Apple Push Notification Service (iOS) to deliver time-sensitive bail alerts to bondsman devices. Push notification tokens are registered with our server upon login and are used solely to deliver alerts relevant to your account. You may disable push notifications at any time in your device settings, though this will prevent you from receiving real-time bail alerts.

11. Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics platforms beyond what is provided by default through Firebase, Apple, and Google. These platforms may collect aggregate, anonymized usage data such as app crashes, session duration, and device type. Their respective privacy policies govern that data collection.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
